What are the safety standards of the toys you are selling?

BIG: BIG products are fully tested both in-house (in their factory in Germany) and by external organisations before they reach the marketplace. As a result of this, only the best quality and safe toy products are allowed to leave their factory. BIG examines their products in detail to ensure that the following standards and regulations are complied with: BIG quality guarantee; CE; GS, TÜV, LGA. BIG also has its products tested through “spiel gut”, Öko-Test, and others (e.g. Golden Rocking Horse Awards, MOMMY awards). The labels and safety marks of independent institutes as well as BIG’s own logos on each product provide reassurance about the high level of quality and safety.

PUKY: PUKY has always represented safety in children’s vehicles and has a modern monitoring and test laboratory (in their factory in Germany) in which all PUKY vehicles are regularly tested above and beyond the required standards. PUKY examines their products in detail to ensure that the following standards and regulations are complied with: PUKY quality testing; CE; GS, TÜV, LGA. BIG also has its products tested through “spiel gut”, Öko-Test, and others. The labels and safety marks of independent institutes as well as PUKY’s own logos on each product provide reassurance about the high level of quality and safety.

sigikid: sigikid products are designed to meet the highest safety standards. sigikid products feature the SIGISAFE emblem to show that these standards have been met. Only products that have passed these tests and requirements receive this emblem. sigikid uses the following set of tools to test and certify their products: sigikid standards; statutory requirements such as EN 71 or ASTM; test groups in kindergartens; and fun factor analyses (“spiel gut”, TÜV, LGA). sigikid always examines their products in detail to ensure that the following standards and regulations are complied with: EN 71, CE (incl. REACH regulation); ASTM, incl. the revision; Lebensmittelgesetz (Food Law – LFGB); 100; and no fumigation of containers.

Can I wash my sigikid soft toys?
sigikid’s products are made to last. Sigikid takes great pride in manufacturing sustainable products that are often handed down from generation to generation. That is not to say that sigikid products will always last a life time. Regardless of how well a product is made, cuddling over extended periods of time will take a toll on any toy and sigikid is no exception to that. However, all sigikid toys are machine washable: To ensure the longevity of your sigikid toy we recommend to only use the delicate cycle and to forgo any detergents with bleach. Please also only air dry sigikid toys. The life expectancy of a sigikid toy strongly depends on how you care for it and how it is used. In general, baby toys that get chewed on may not last as long as a teddy bear that spends a lot of his time sitting on a book shelf.

And how do I best clean my PUKY or BIG kids’ vehicles?
Please don’t use a high-pressure cleaning machine (e.g. water blaster) for cleaning BIG or PUKY kids’ vehicles! Only use water and non-aggressive cleaning products, if necessary. Making sure your child’s ride-on, tricycle or other kids’ vehicle is kept clean will prevent rusting and other since of aging. That will allow your child (and siblings, relatives’ or friends’ kids) to play with it for years to come and it will also allow for a good resale value!
